Friends of SWAGAA who support implemention of education programs and advocacy projects

PACT is a networked global organization that builds the capacity of local leaders and organizations to meet pressing social needs in dozens of countries around the world. By services provided in Swaziland through Pact by USAID, Pact intends to increase the number of people receiving HIV/AIDS prevention services, care, support and treatment.

The National Emergency Response Council on HIV/AIDS (NERCHA) provides the coordination and facilitation of the national multisectoral emergency response to HIV/AIDS by creating an environment that supports effective service delivery to the people of Swaziland. Today, NERCHA is working to drive the Second National Multisectoral HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan (NSP). This plan for 2006-2008 provides a framework for resource mobilization and coordination of all HIV/AIDS activities in the country. NERCHA is a big supporter of SWAGAA; a recent donation of four vehicles has been a tremendous help.

Note from the Fundraising Chairperson

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our donors and all the friends of SWAGAA who have supported us over the last few years. Regular fundraising events such as the annual Breakfast, the annual Golf Day, movies and various auctions have not only assisted in creating awareness of abuse in our country but also created a team of regular supporters. Without all of you this would not be possible.
A. K. McLeod, Chairperson, Local Fundraising Committee

SWAGAA Partners

Australian Volunteers International (AVI)
AVI manage people-centred development projects and programs in a wide range of countries. Their work focuses on reducing poverty, providing health and education services, promoting human rights and gender equality, and protecting the environment. They are a SWAGAA and send volunteers who stay for two years.
Skillshare International
Skillshare International aims to help organisations achieve their vision through improving their performance and services. We have a range of practical ways in which we assist organisations to develop and grow, for instance, the placement of international development workers with our partner organisations such as SWAGAA.

Canadian Crossroads International (CCI)
CCI's aim is to build a constituency of global citizens committed to voluntarism, international development and social action in the new millennium. CCI does this by developing partnerships with countries from the South, organizing volunteer cooperative placements and internships, and by educating the public on development issues.

Transition House of Nova Scotia (THANS)
THANS is the unified provincial voice for member organizations across Nova Scotia, Canada, that provide services for abused women and their children. THANS and SWAGAA maintain a partnership that among other things encourages the placement of a staff member between organizations.

THANK YOU!!

To all our other supporters, we would like to thank you. It is through the help and support of our friends that we are able to continue the fight against abuse in Swaziland. If you would like to become a supporter of SWAGAA, please visit our Member and Donor page.
