Law Reform

• Advocate for enactment of laws addressing gender-based violence (GBV)
• Advocate for better services from service providers such as police, prosecutors, nurses and doctors
• Future plans:
  • Sensitize police recruits on abuse with the help of Domestic Violence and Child Protection unit
  • Be a lead agency in coordinating a national database on abuse statistics
  • Establish a legal clinic with assistance from UNISWA
  • Train prosecutors dealing with sexual offence
